Yoga for Low Back Pain

Pain Care Yoga for Chronic Low Back Pain

If you suffer from chronic low back pain, you are in good company. It’s the leading cause of disability world wide. CLBP (chronic low back pain) often leads sufferers to seek help from many different health care practitioners, chiropractors, massage therapists etc… Many of these things may help but not as much as you have hoped and perhaps only temporarily. There is hope though.

Pain Care Yoga for Chronic Low Back Pain is an evidence based 8 week program designed to help you move better and live better. Yoga can be a game changer in combination with your other treatments and medications and may even help you need them less over time.

I have chronic/persistent pain in my lower back and numbness in my left leg. Since starting the class with Mandy, the improvement is remarkable. I was unable to stand, walk, and move consistently. I have learned to view the spine and brain as a system. Mandy teaches simple movements in class that can be used safely and easily in everyday life – it has changed the way I relate to and experience pain. The movements are introduced gradually throughout the course. I've learned how the brain's relationship with pain can be modified via neuroplasticity. It’s liberating! I’m extremely grateful for this class. I'm lucky to have found the Pain Care Yoga for Chronic Low Back Pain class at Sound Method. Highly recommended!

I just completed Mandy’s eight-week Pan Care Yoga program. It was outstanding! As a result of taking the class, I gained wonderful and sustainable “tools" for managing my chronic lower back pain. First, Mandy is truly an expert in pain care management. I learned more from Mandy about pain than any doctor’s office I have visited and trust me I have visited many over the years. Mandy is extremely responsive to each individual’s mobility level. Overall, I would highly recommend the program as it is life-changing!

I stumbled across the chronic back pain workshop shortly after medical professionals told me they couldn’t see anything to validate my back pain. I was beginning to believe that I’d have to live the rest of my life in pain.  I’m in my early 30s, so the thought of 50+ years living in pain was overwhelming and depressing. Mandy taught me so much about chronic pain and gave me the tools to help manage it.  I’m a firm believer now that mind body and soul are all connected and equally important.  I’m doing things again that bring me joy- working out, playing with my children and cooking - all things that were put on hold when I would experience a pain flare up.  My quality of life has drastically improved since completing Mandy’s program!
